About

I'm Omar — a full-stack engineer in Riyadh who likes the parts of software other people avoid: reconciling ledgers, untangling ERP deployments, and making sure a number on a dashboard can be traced back to the row that produced it.

  1. It started with wanting to see the whole system

I studied Computer Science at Taiz University and finished with Souqi, an e-commerce platform I built end to end. That project set the pattern: I was never satisfied owning only the screen or only the API — I wanted to understand how a request travelled from a tap all the way to a row in a database, and back.

  2. Then production taught me what actually matters

Shipping real systems changed what I optimise for. On the Carry Go warehouse platform I inherited a timer bug that silently overwrote pages every twelve seconds, and found credit-card details being stored in plain text. Neither was in a ticket. Both mattered more than the feature I'd been asked to build — so I fixed them first.

  3. Now I design for the day something goes wrong

That's why I build ledger-first: wallet and inventory balances are derived from append-only records, not stored as mutable counters, so a discrepancy is always explainable. It's why third-party integrations sit behind an anti-corruption layer — a payment gateway going down should degrade one feature, not take the marketplace with it.

  4. And I write it all down

Every system I hand over ships with a README, an install guide and an API reference. I work in two languages and build bilingual Arabic/English interfaces where RTL is designed for, not retrofitted. Code that only I can run and only I can explain isn't finished work.

01

Mission

Ship software that removes friction from real operations — logistics, retail, finance — with clean architecture that survives contact with production.

02

Vision

Become a systems-level engineer trusted to own critical infrastructure, from database schema to the pixel a customer taps.

03

Current focus

Deepening backend architecture (DDD, ledger-first financial systems) while shipping polished, real-time frontends on Next.js and Flutter.

04

Future goals

Lead the technical design of multi-tenant platforms and mentor engineers building their first production systems.
